There is loads of info on the net too lads, but you could get your head in some books too!
These are all about the Para's in Afganistan:
3 Para by Patrick Bishop
Ground Truth: 3 Para Return to Afghanistan: 3 Para's Return to Afghanistan by Patrick Bishop
Blood Clot: In Combat with the Patrols Platoon, 3 Para, Afghanistan 2006 by Jake Scott
Danger Close: Commanding 3 PARA in Afghanistan by Stuart Tootal DSO
All good books, just started the last one the other day.

Guys you need to look beyond Afghanistan!
What else are the Army doing round the world??
Humanitarian aid/ Peace keeping UN/NATO projects/training of other forces.
Dont blinker yourself on just one thing.

yerh; ive spent all afternoon reading up on websites about operations and deployments of the armed forces.
obviously you have to know whats going on in iraq and afghanistan, but im trying not to focus on it; stuff like Brunei, Belize, Africa and whatnot is what im gonna make a point about in my interview tomorrow.
i hope this will show im aware about all facets of the Forces, not just fighting the Taliban.

Try reading some of the better news pappers. Think about places like Iran & Georgia, where are other countries going on about borders and fossil fuels and many other things.
