Good news everyone I passed PGAC, a word of warning to anyone attempting it you've got to be very very fit, they've got a skirmish on day 2 now and 25 people dropped out just off that. Only 9 of us got through out of 45 so be prepared. Some other advice as well don't be a biffa and tell people at the train station on day one that you want to be a sniper in 2 squadron like a lot of the lads did because they didn't even pass the PGAC and they looked like a right idiots. I'll put a detailed post on later about what exactly was in the selection.

My TG course is oct 25th, I've said I'll go on an earlier one if anyone drops out. Skirish was a nigthmare, a really intense warm up that people dropped out of followed my alternating between leopard crawls across the rugby pitch, stretcher runs and log runs. I didnt mind the stretcher and log runs but the leopard crawling was an absolute nightmare in a jumpsuit with boots n helmet, you've gotta be fit mate cos a lot of people under estimated the course.

Well done TC,
I do seem to remember the skirmish being "a bit of a bitch". On my course the situation was a very similar one to your own, and we only passed out with 14 from 44.
Good luck on the TG course.

I go in on 20 September, starting to get a bit nervous, but at the same time excited. Is that normal ?

howie,
yes most will prob be nervous and lose control of their hoop, therefore sh*t themselves - perfectly normal
However dont fret as your all in same boat and once your there and start gettin on with it, its all good.
this skirmish thing is well overdue in my opinion and should of been introduced long time before. I hope the pti's are aggressive in their conduct (more so than i experienced) and i hope their new brief is to maintain that conduct during TG.
