hi everyone new to this site just wana no if any one starts basic training up in catterick on the 22nd feb and is going 4 the paras? cheers

I hate that run. Best I've managed is 8.59 at the insight course. Got 9.04 at the careers office, then slowest when really going for it was at ADSC, it was 9.20, but the man who interviewed me said I did well on the physical tests so it was ok. How about you?
Have you got any joining instructions or anything yet?
I've been told to wait for them in the post and have been for a month now.

my best is 09.04 lol...na not got any instructions yet i got told they will get intouch in the next week or so...its just been the end of week 2...just been getting stuff like toiletrys at the mo lol u got much of ur kit yet?

Hi guys, i got my ADSC on the 2nd, i feel really confident in passing, if thats the case do you think i will get in the same troop as use on the 22nd?

if theres a space u could av it i supose...at the end of my selection the officer asked me if the 11th jan was ok...and this interview at the end of selection was the 7th lol but he couldnt get through to my recruiter so decied the 22nd feb was to be.

Yea, thats not too bad. I had a feeling i would be waiting for ages, Im sure for a regiment like the Paras will the spaces fill up as quick? Whats the capacity they can hold in a troop?

I think it's platoons and then it's broken down into sections. Don't know about how many in each though. I think troops are for marines.
just been getting stuff like toiletrys at the mo lol u got much of ur kit yet?
So far all I've got is an iron. Argos convinced me to part with £40 because it said best iron in the world lol.

Yea sorry, troop is a word i picked up from a Marine. Do you think i will get on the 22nd if i pass on the 2nd?

Personally i think no you wont, some other guys on ARRSE are getting April & May dates for Paras.
