stamina is working at something constantly, so a steady paced jog for a long time, build up your speed as you get better or longer runs, or you wont progress

id say slightly longer/slightly quicker for the best of both worlds

Why not do both? No need to do one type of training, after all variate is the spice of life 8)

Good to keep the body adapting to new stimulus be it hill sprinting, interval running, swimming, LSD running, boxing.... the list really is endless.

LSD Running: Long Slow Distance.
It's like you running with a mate and just having a chat as you run at a comfortable pace.
It's ok to do that every so often so you don't wear your body down if you are training hard.

I'm with you on that AJ, It is good as recovery method... Slap my I-pod on and shadow box whilst jogging at 6 in the morning pretending to be Mike Tyson is a favorite pass time of mine 8)

To much will have a negative affect mind, I believe that if you train slow you will be slow (obviously not desirable) and it can be quite repetitive on the joints but thats only if you go over the top with it... same with most things i suppose.
