If I went to AFC Harrogate and chose to go in to the Royal Anglian Regiment How long would my phase 2 infantry training be and what would it involve? Is it just basic soldiering skills but just to a higher standard? If I chose to go into a combat role like infantry or RAC or RA etc. at AFC Harrogate would I do more on fitness rather than educational and vice versa? Do you have specified timetables just for you at harrogate?
thanks!

I posted the same subject and same questions here a while back and was told that ITC didn't have a Phase 1 and Phase 2 as such. and was also told that ''P1'' was more fitness and hygene basic fieldcraft basic weapon skills and basic infantry tactics, and then ''P2'' was all of the abouve but to higher standards and more in depths, now the debate still remains as to weather P2 includes you're trade skill i.e driver ect.
As for the time it can vairy deppending on what Regiment and what job you've chosen to go in as.
[Edit] Also to save you having to post questions on the website all the time why not search aaroun army jobs website and others like it. also try to check out the MOD online recruiting office where you can speak 1 on 1 with soldiers and officers.

Phase one which is basically basic training is a general soldier, which is fitness, field craft, first aid, map reading, drill, weapon handling etc. and Phase 2 is your trade training. so yes if you went to AFC Harrogate at first it would be your basic training and vocational skills etc, then Catterick for infantry would be your 'Infantry training'
as i am the same, winchester for 20 weeks which is like Harrogate and then Catterick, and im doing infantry.

For infantry i think phase 1 and 2 is back to back (with a mid-term break after week 13) but im not sure what its like at winchester or harrogate.

Winchester for juniors is a 20 week course, then off to catterick after that.
