Medical at ADSC

Post by Fino »

I have the ADSC in four weeks....
I broke my collar bone a about four years and had to have excess bone removed because it was sticking out abit... There is a big scar and little bump there now, on my right side...
I have done loads of contact sports since then and I have never had any problems...

Just wondering if they are really praticular about stuff like that?

No, you will just get examined and the doctor will look at your notes and ask questions about it really, no need to worry tbh mate

Four years ago should be fine as long as it gives you no pain and does not hinder you.

Ok thanks alot for reply....

Just dont want to be trying so hard to get ready for the selection day....

And then to be disappointed at medical.... :(

Just didnt know if they would over react because its the side you rest your gun on...

But I have done boxing and a load of other sports and had no problems...

But I know they can be strict on certain things....

If any one who has gone through the medical....

Please leave a comment....

understand you wouldn't want to be trying so hard if you don't pass the medical but if i was you mate i would just give it my best shot go all out and see what happens theres no point goin into it unprepared because i am sure you would be more disapointed if you passed the medical but was told your fitness needs improvement
just my opinion,

Mate

All sorts of things can get you differed in your medical all of it out of your control trust me.

For instance in the last month I have seen:

Heart murmurs 5
Pain in the ankle 1
Having a cold 2
ACNE 1

Make sure you sort out the stuff you can control:
1.5 MILE RUN/ICEBREAKER/TEAM TASK

At ADSC you dont do press ups and sit ups. well i didnt, i dont think others do, might just depend on what selection centre you go to.

but if you do end up doing them, aim for at least 50 on each.
