Sounds like a pretty good idea,
wouldn't be doing it with a bergen mind,
don't know if I'll be ready by September,
but I'll see how I am in like July and might get me a place,
you doing it CardSharpe?

I'd love to have a go at that but I know for sure I can't run 10 miles yet lol.

I'm seriously considering it
I'm about two weeks into an intensive training thing at the moment, aiming to get myself ready to beat the hell out of an insight course weekend on the 18th of july, I'm just trying to work out whether I'll be ready in time for it.
I think I'll do the same as you and see how I do in july, if I manage to do alright on this insight course then I might well sign myself up

Fair play mate,
I'm not planning to join the Marines 'til about June next year,
but I'll up my mileage and see if I can do 10 miles,
any idea how hilly it is?
I do 7.5 miles every so often and it's got a decent amount of incline and some steep hills and that's a killer.
Might see you there mate depending on how it goes.

Oh yes a route i know very very well

How many times would you say you've run that route?

it is tipped as a warm up for the great north run
yet I can't help thinking that 26 flat miles wearing lycra would be easier than 10 varying miles with 35lbs and a time limit
what do you reckon?

Any tips about the route Sandy?
Like if there's any tough bits near the end.
And I thought the great north run was 13 miles?
And it probably means without the boots and bergen,
'cus like you said that would be tougher.

I'll stand corrected, I always thought it was a full marathon
well then obviously that would be easier than the p company run
