would i pass

Hey im new to the site and i have prmc on the 17th of June and was just wondering would i pass with these scores
press-ups around 40
sit-ups 80
pull ups 6
im not to worried about the running side of things because i am quite a good runner lol

I'm sure your be fine, from my experience as long as your putting in the required effort, your pass. Ive heard lads passing with lower scores than that. Just dig out blind and show you have bootneck character! Good luck!

Cheers m8 believe me il be going balls out the whole time im just really worried about press ups im really rubish at them i just cant seam to improve so im doing the deck of cards cirduit every day exept sunday and at about 9 oclock im doing 20 press ups every 20 mins till 11 or 12 do you think this would halp get my press ups to around 60 before my prmc

Just keep banging them out mate, obviously be careful of overtraining, but every oppurtunity you get just push them out till failure, especially after runs etc. Don't worry! Its like a rocking chair something to do, but gets you no where! I was in exactly the same situation as you worrying about whether I can reach the right amount etc, but at the end of the day just give it your best and im sure you will pass, like I said i've heard of lads passing with lower scores than that, just go down there and let them assess you.

You'll never know weather you'll pass till you try mate, those scores look acceptable and with the extra adrenalin when you’re down there you may even do better, until then keep training (but listen to you're body!) rest up properly before you go down and don't give up... Simple (at least it is on paper

)

To be honest, the PRMC 99% running, press-ups ect are great if you can do, but it seems they looking mainly for runners.

If you where truly over-training you'd know, things like the inability to recover, constant fatigue, depression, lower immune system etc... But getting to a true state of over training is extremely difficult personally I think your body is your best indicator, do you feel read and energized when you're next work out comes around? if not, why not? Diet, enough sleep/rest/frequency/intensity of training to high etc.
Basically if the body says stop or is to tired to work all of the time you probably are doing something wrong, don’t get em wrong we all feel like skipping training from time to time, and sometimes we are sore even before working out but if it becomes a everyday thing then that’s the time to stop and look at what you’re doing.
You should be fine 1 hard sessions a day each time focusing on a different body part or fitness component, coupled with a good diet and adequate sleep shouldn't pose any threat to a average person with regard to over-training,.
I personally train twice a day (maybe hours weights in the morning and run/box for 90 minuets in the evening) and have for some time and see I no problems... everyone’s different.

Another good thing which I did before my PRMC, was try to mimic the two days, because its good to know what it feels like to be cracking two hard phys sesions a day for two days, and plus PRMC won't be as much of a shock for your body. You will be tired, but like in training your be expected to keep going and produce the results, don't do it all the time but try to get used to doing your runs and press-ups etc when your tired and your aching and you dont necessarily feel up to it.

Same here, good idea. You'll also get that all important mental confidence knowing youve done something similar before.

A good way to check if your overtraining,Cardio-wise,is to regularly check your heart rate,first thing in a morning.Get an accurate idea of your resting heart rate:take 3 measurements as soon as you wake up(probably best with a heart rate monitor but you can just count your pulse),and get an average from the 3,do this 3 days in a row and get another average.Then check it every morning thereafter,if its quite abit above your normal resting heart rate the morning after a good training session then its probably best to rest that day.

here are my things at the moment :
Press-ups - 25
Sit-ups - 48
Pull-ups - 6
Bleep Test - 12.6
1.5 miles - 9:18
3 miler - 18.48
Is there any way i can pass with that?
my PRMC is in 13 days time.

Everything looks pretty good. Pressups could be better, but above all else they are looking for effort, 100% effort all the time. Give everything youve got. If they see you are digging out blind, then you are showing the determination it takes to get through RT.
