Hi, I have my PRMC on the 26th of Feb, I have been training a lot for this, however, about a week ago, whilst at work, the lower of my back started giving off a painful shooting spasm

I rested, and back felt a little better, now though, when I do sit-ups or pull-ups it hurts. I just want to get on with the training but at same time dont want to mess up chances in the PRMC. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Kaelin

I think the best thing you can do is light running, if you do exersise that hurts that spot of your back it will get worse and not heal, thus when you come to do the PRMC you will have additional pain.
For a week do some light running and no exercise that hurts your back, after this week your back should have healed quite a bit and you can continue training, also deep heat helps a lot
Good luck

Go and see your doc!
Thats the only advice I'm going to give you. Far to many people spout advice as if they know all about stuff like this. They don't, Doctors do. You could have the start of a prolapsed disc which if not treated ASAP could find you up shit creek without a paddle for a very long time.

Seconded.
No one on here can give you advice for something as specific (and possibly serious) as back pain, last thing you want is to take advice from a stranger on the internet which could potentially - in a worst case scenario - bar you from ever joining the Royal Marines.
Edit: see doc
before undertaking
light running that was advised above...

Thanks fella's, I shall heed your advice and go see the doc. Only thing is, I worried that he will advise against RM...
Cheers anyway, I shall see doc.

As the Artistic one said.
Go and see a saw-bones,get your back zapped and take his advise.
You could also see a chiropractor, helped me with my back,
How old are you ?if you don't mind me asking.

Yeah I did think about seeing a chiropractor, they are far too expensive

I am 19, almost 20... Ah the youth of today eh?

I have not had trouble with my back previously, it just hit me whilst at work the other week....
Ta for the advice
Kaelin.
