Md at week 20 :S

Hi
it's been a while since i posted on here, had a few other things on my mind these last 32 weeks

.
Joined with 944 on may14th but got 'Huntered' in week 20. I've torn a disc in my back and some of the other ones are bulging against the nerve; just recently been told I'm going to get medically discharged and unable to join the Royal Marines ever again.
However, I was given a lot of help by people on here before I joined, so if anyone wants any help info about stuff when they join etc just drop me a message
On another note 944 troop pass out this week so 3 cheers for the lads that pass out with them! (944; seen off troop

)

Wow. Unlucky chak. Never again? That must hurt. You seem to have taken it well though... What are you planning on doing now? (If you don't mind me asking).

Why is that then???
Surely if it's corrected then you can re-join??

Damn, sorry to hear that Chak.
Good luck in whatever you choose to do from here mate.

You know the answer to that AJ, especially with all your injuries. Any chance of a recurring injury and they want you out. It's a strict order, but the RM don't like taking chances on injuries.

The reason I asked is because some people
do come back stronger and they never have problems again.
EDIT: I'm a tw*t for not saying in my first post

- sorry to hear about your injury mate and I sincerely hope everything works out for you in the future.

Ahh you see "some people".
Chak obviously isn't one of them, because they've ruled him out.

You know Chak with Backs nobody really knows the full story and their can be pychological factors at play in back pain. Basically you might have hope yet.
I don't know about what kind of back injury you have but you can try something. Why have you been permanently barred?

Sorry to hear it chak mate. Well how many people can say they made it to week 20 of Royal Marines Recruit training eh?

Really sorry to hear that chak. It's probably no consolation to say that, injuries aside, most lads getting to week 20 will see it through to the end. I found the first 10 weeks much harder than the last 10. I can't imagine how gutted you feel but you've taken it on the chin without bitterness opps - and that's really impressive.
I was going to say the experience won't have done you any harm (apart from trashing your back - so what a chad thing to say

) but what I mean is that you'll carry a lot of what you learned there for the rest of your life and I hope that you can feel a part of the family in some way.
All the best for the future.

Thanks for posts of sympathy

- seriously tho ta.
Yeah im afraid its a situation where i cant join up again simply because they cant risk me going down in afghan or anywhere where i'll be carryying a lot more weight, and where i can put other lads in danger etc. - so im not angry at their decision since you can understand why.
However, it has been a huge headf**k not being able to complete it when i've been pushing so hard for it and not being able to see it through to the end. But also, like sully said, i will have learned a lot and will take a lot with me.
Thanks again to this site and great people on it; i certainly think it played a big part in motivation and helping with me getting ready to start training. i can honestly say that knowing i couldn't do 10 pressups when i first began!
