Whilst doing the trainee gunner course do you get paid and if so how much ? Is it enough to pay car insurance and a phone bill totalling around £150 ?

Yes, you will get paid during training.

Don't forget that there will be deductions for food and accomodation as well as tax and insurance.

Have you spoken to your recruiter at all? I find it odd that you haven't been told this.

If I rememeber correctly what the careers officer told me, you come out with between £162 and £169 per week whilst you are training and then it goes up accordingly.
