Getting Fit for The TA.

First of all, hi, I'm 16 live in the U.K. and my end goal is to be a regular officer in the Parachute Regiment or the Royal Marines.
At the moment I'm in good shape but in about 4 months -when I turn 17- I'm going to apply for the TA as a regular light Infantry man. I know this should probally be in the TA forum but it didnt look like many people looked there.
I want to make sure I pass the fitness tests and finish first in everything ( I hate being second best). So can anyone tell me the exercises they make you do and the distances they make you run?
At the moment I can do about 10 pull ups, run 3 miles in 20 minutes and do about 40 push ups. Thanks for any awnsers, I appreciate it.

That level of fitness will be more than enough to join the TA mate. I'm sure you will find that many of the guys signing up with you will not have that level of fitness.
It sounds like you already have a good training routine but if you're looking for some variety then just try a search on here there are lots of different training programmes for you to choose from.
Good luck with the TA.

Alright mate where abouts in London are you at?
Do you know that there is a TA Para Company down at London think its based at White City, I say if you live near there give them a try since with the fitness you've got you shoudnt have much problems passing the fitness with 4 para since when I started with 4 Para my fitness was worst than that and I still made it through till weekend 5
All the best with the TA mate

I live in Norwich, Norfolk so Para 4 isn't really an option, and there are no reserve RM bases near me either. There is a TA base near me though which I was planning on going too.
When I go through the physical side of testing, is it just running, push ups, sit ups and pull ups?

Thanks for the link.
There is this combat infantry regiment 3.3 miles from where I live (A Company East of England Regiment) which sounds pretty good.
Also does anyone know if they're putting an end to gap year commisions? I heard they were.
Edit: another question, I can make sure they don't deploy me while I'm in college can't I? I was going to try do a tour for my gap year in the TA, so if I tell them that will they let me have a year and a half without being deployed?

As far as I'm aware you don't generally get deployed on operations until you're 18 so I doubt you'd be old enough to go while you're in college anyway.
