Hi, does anybody know when the next selection is for the birmingham detachment? I understand that there is one next weekend but obviously i'll be too late for that one. Any info would be great.

As far as I know, the next intake will be September 2008.

It may be worth making some enquiries (if you haven't already).You may still be able to get on this selection weekend ?

There could still be hope then. I only left the army last week so my fitness is still excellent. I have a copy of my med records too in case they need to see those.

I'll try calling them tomorrow and see what they say.

Well, I passed selection even though we did have to cram in all the phys in 1 afternoon (which meant doing the 3 miler straight after the bleep test). We actually had a really strong troop and pretty much everyone passed. I don't actually think anyone got less than 10.5 on the bleep test.

Recruit training starts 21st September back up in liverpool. Should be good fun once we get the introduction weekend over!
