So at the moment i'm 15 and when i leave school, with one year to go(well less) i want to go right into the Army. So would Harrogate be my best bet at this age and is it hard to get in to such as do you need certain grades etc etc?

Thanks

Just putting this as a side note, when I left school all I wanted to do was go into the marines. But as it happened, I wasn't fit enough at the time so I decided to get a normal job for the time being. Although I am still not in the military yet, I am very glad I had the expiriance 'in the real world', and even if you don't want to now, I would really concider it.
It's up to you I guess where you go, the diffrent ways to get into the army have diffrent highs and lows. If your low on grades, I would say go straight in, but if you can get into the college would be a bonus concidering your age you will get to see if the army is really for you.

Worth remembering is that your minimum service time (4 years) doesnt start until after your 18th birthday. Not trying to put you off going for Harrogate just making a point.

I would suggest having a look at doing a Public Services course at a college if you want an alternative. I have just finished my course and I really enjoyed it It gave me time to work on my fitness and allowed me to gain life experience. The tutors tend to have previous service in either the military or police, fire service, etc. Only problem is that once you leave the Armed Forces your Public Services BTEC will only qualify you to join the Armed Forces :P .

Watch out for the fat c**** though, that think they are going to join the police 'cos they watch The Bill'

As far as I'm aware all junior entrants into the Army go to Harrogate so I don't think it's anymore difficult to get into than joining the Army as an Adult soldier.

Here's a link to the army website which gives you all the info about it:

you could always stick with you education and get a degree before trying for a commission mate.

While joining the TA while in education like I'm in the processing of doing.
