I do HOC (High Octane Cardio) on a treadmill sometimes. Goes like this:

1min jogging, 10 pressups
1min jogging, 9 pressups
1min jogging, 8 pressups
c@#t I've done 10mins jogging and 55 pressups

Then after a short rest I do exactly the same on the bike.

I know it's not really interval training, but hope that helped anyway.

My uncle told me one he does.

1 minute on each level from level 7 to 12
1 minute each level, level 8 to 13
1 minute each level, level 7 to 12

I found this quite easy so i suggest changing it a bit by doing more of the higher levels for example 10-16, 9-15, 10-16.

5 mines bike

then 4 mins each machine

so you go from 5,4,3,2,1

after every peice of machine do 10 press ups

Try this, I believe its called gerschler fartlek or something, all I know is that its good.

30 seconds at 20kph
75seconds rest
30 seconds at 20kph
60 seconds rest
30 seconds at 20kph
45 seconds rest
30 seconds at 20kph
30 seconds rest
30 seconds at 20 kph
15 seconds rest
30 seconds at 20kph
75 seconds rest
30 seconds at 20 kph
60 seconds rest
30 seconds at 20 kph
45 seconds rest
30 seconds at 20 kph
30 seconds rest
30 seconds at 20kph
15 seconds rest
30 seconds at 20kph

Once this becomes easy start wacking up the incline.

Meh, I kind of thought all that was pyramid training. The interval training that my club has been doing mainly consists of either X distance running and Y distance jogging/fast walk OR X time running & X time jogging/fast walk.

Yep if it varies its usually called a pyramid workout if it stays the same its interval, but thats just because people choose to call them that, they both do the same thing, intervals mor efor people like me who start to get confused with so many different numbers ''should I be doing 30 walk or 40 walk; or is 25 run; or is it 60 run; no wait could be 90 walk!''

On the treadmill try keeping the speed the same and varying the incline. Get to a speed that you can just about talk at, then stick the incline up to a high figure like 10 say, and stick there for 1 minute, then back to 3 for a minute, then up, then down and so on. Its an absolute killer!
