Just preparing for my interview (Got it in a week), iv been searching around and got a few questions typed up, just looking for other potential questions that might come up.

Learn the Commando Tests as well ok, im 95% sure you will be asked what they are.

Hmm, don't know about that. I think you will only be asked to name two... Most people say Hunter and Finch.

I don't think there is a single most important question that you will be asked. But one you missed out from your list is...

Q- what is the role of RM?

Make sure you know the answer to that one. 'Tis rather important...

The Royal Marines are a maritime-focused, amphibious, light infantry force capable of deploying at short notice in support of the United Kingdom Government's military and diplomatic objectives overseas and are optimised for highly manoeuvreable operational situations. As the United Kingdom Armed Forces' specialists in cold weather warfare the Corps provide lead element expertise in the NATO Northern Flank and are optimised for high altitude operations.

In common with the other armed forces, the Royal Marines can provide resources for Military Aid to Civil Authority and Military Aid to Civil Power operations.

You mean the exercises like 'first step' 'hunters moon' ?
or the tests on the PRMC ?

The commando tests are the tarzan, the endurance course, the nine mile speed march and the thirty miler.

I'm guessing ill also be asked about what the RM are up to in Iraq, Afghanistan etc.
I tried looking on the MOD website but couldnt find much recent info.

Any ideas?

Get the latest G&L, your AFCO should have copies

You won't be required to name every recipient, but I was asked to name atleast two.

Just incase you dont know what 'G&L' stands for, its the Globe & Laurel. This is the corps magazine ok, pretty good info on whos doing what and where, and yes your AFCO should have copies as i was issued one before my psychometric as well so i could keep more up to date with what is going on.

You're only going to get asked 2 or 3 questions max on history and what the Marines are up to now.

I got asked the birth date of the corps and to explain some of the bits of the badge. Don't get too hung up on it though pal, they don't expect you to be able to write a book about it and it's only a small part of a bigger picture that they're looking at.

Most of my interview was about personal circumstances. Also I was asked about:

- Tests on PRMC
- Starting salary
- Weapons
- What marines travel on

How did yuor interveiw go then???
