How long does it take to get a date for PRMC after PJFT?

I passed my PJFT today in 9mins 52secs. I am fairly pleased with myself, but I think I could have got faster. The bloke who did the test with me said he was going to put it on 14.2kmh until half way then I could speed up, I wasn't going to argue. I made sure I was under 10 mins though. I only got my letter a few days ago and it didn't say anything about needing to get under 10 mins but as someone on here says it may have changed I made sure I was inside 10 mins.
How long do you think it will be before I get a date for PRMC? And when is the date normally set? A month after PJFT? 6 weeks?

Lodgi,
I passed my pjft back in late jan, phoned my acfo and he ask me when i wanted to go down to prmc, i said 3 weeks, he asked if i thought i was ready, i said yes, so he got 20th feb.
So i guess it depends on you, if you think your ready to go , reading your sig seems you have been waiting a while so i guess your pretty eager to get down there and have a crack at it.

If you can try and go to a RMAD(royal marines aquaint day) which is basically the first day of PRMC. It really gives you an idea of the level of fitness required(but keep in mind day 2 is far worse!) and what to expect from pti's etc...

Right richie, thanks for the swift reply. I think when the afco phone I'm going to ask for 4 weeks from the day they phone. Thats a nice time to get in some real hard balls out training.

i thought RMAD was compulsary? if not go on it its free and will give you a good heads up

I thought so to but it just depends on the afco your with.

from what iv been told, some AFCO's dont have a RMR base that is able to do RMAD's, so dont send you on them.
im sure if you asked they could put you on one, but it would be quite far away probably.
really, you can do the first day yourself. organise a bleep test locally. park whateva. follow the schedule online, eat, wait, warm up and three miles, eat lunch do your bleep test and push ups etc.
