A few pre-RT questions

Im off down to CTCRM on Monday I pretty much have everything I need to take down with me. I have chosen not to buy many 'extra' (not on the list) items and see what the training team says regarding things like boxers/pants/swimming shorts/speedos etc.

A couple questions for lads that are down there or have been down there though:

Jeans - my jeans dont have rips or holes but the bottom of the trousers is worn out from standing on them. Will this cause a problem?

Undercrackers and socks - I've read you wash your clothes everyday so there is no need to take loads. How many is not loads - will 5 or 6 be enough?

And am I right that just a couple of civvy T-shirts will be enough?

And just a quick thank you for all the information I've gained from this site!

Cheers

.Casual civvys , Jeans no purposely bought ripped trousers , Smart shoes but you'll wear them when you go .

5-6 pairs is more then enough matey , at first in foundation you'll be doing alot of hand dobey so yeh more then enough.

And yeh 3 -4 civvy tops more then enough nice smart shirt if you can as well .

But yeh good luck fella and hopefully around 30 odd weeks on monday and you'll have your green lid on your head.

Do most guys take suitcases down or just sports bags?

It doesnt matter whether you take a suitcase or sports bag, whatever is easiest for you. Its only going to get shoved into a storage room.

Make sure you take a belt, collared shirt eg button up or polo and some smart shoes otherwise you wont be going ashore.
