Well lads i thought as ive got a lot of spare time on my hands now as my recruit training went pear shaped at week 3 due to medical discharge. discharged for having ''ashtma like symptoms'' turns out i dont have ashtma anymore and my afco are doing there best to get me in soon as possible .So thought id help out lads that are wanting to get in so here a few tips from me starting from app- rt
. In your written tests , put your best effort in mech comp this will save you having to do better then you need to on prmc not saying that you shouldn't go all out .
.In your interview be yourself , relax, learn some history and knowledge before you go, think about good points about yourself , talents, achievements e.t.c but dont come off as a big head, (easier said then done)hahah
.cant really say much about the medical just do as your asked i suppose.
.Pjft test dont give up simple. Train on the road , less on the treadmill but do , do some treadmill runs to gain experiance on the treadmill. good time -9.30 or under but any under 10.45 will do .
Prmc - train 3 milers , no fxxxing treadmill ahah unless you have too they wont give you as much benefit as road running does.
.Sprint training at least once a week
.press ups , sit ups , pull ups , as needed i would do a circuit of all 3 times a week.
On prmc-
.Do as your told thats the best thing to do then youll get through it .
.Dont be cheeky or answer back just laugh at the right things and do what your told .
.Dont give up . nobody died of tired legs , if your there its because youve got something , live up to that and do what your best.
. If you can be 5 minutes early for most things itll only make you look good .
. On assault course do all of the obstacles as they teach you , youll get round quicker and you wont have to do things again .
.Bottom field just keep going same for gym test 2 .
R.T .
well i cant say much for this i dont exactly have to much experiance suppose just do what they ask you to , dont scratch and make sure your expections of kit and locker are getting better on each . ohh and dont go to the medical centre for little niggly things , thats how i got buggered off , ofcourse go if its somethin that needs medical attention .
Good luck lads all the best and hope to see you lot soon . Have fun not many people can say theyve been in the marines infact probably about99.99% cant your priveledged lads make the most of it .
