Sorry if there have been previous posts like this one (i did use the search button but didn't have much luck... just got the odd tip/ the odd time and mainly for people much older than me)
My question is, is 12.6 on the test good? i did it in school today and mannaged that score i was second best in my year which i was chuffed about (the lad who beat me is tiny and just run's and runs... rather like a whipet) any input is greatly apreciated, i am trying to improve my CV and its coming along great if i carry on training like i am what would by a good/very good level in twelve months time?

Yeah mate level 12.6 is a pretty dam good score. I think anything over 11 is not bad.

its a diffrent bleep test, faster than the one the schools do, i hate it lol
if you can do that on the schools one you shouldent have problems passing this one, you might even be better at this one some people weirdly are

The Multi Stage fitness test (VO2max) is a standardised test, so a "schools version" does not exist, sometimes the old style cassette tapes are used which stretch over time and compared to the CD versions will appear slower.
By getting level 12 shuttle 6, your VO2 Max is 55.28 mls/kg/min (± 0.3 mls/kg/min) and based on normative values from ten years ago from the Advance Fitness Assessment & Exercise Prescription, 3rd Edition, (Vivian H. Heyward, 1998.p48) for your age group, that is classed as "excellent" (on a scale from very poor to supirior).
For future reference the MSFT (VO2max) goes all the way up to level 21 shuttle 16.

isnt there a 15metre and a 20metre bleep test, i did mine at college about 6 weeks back, deffinetly 20 metres and scored 12.4, for POC 11 is the loest and 15 scores maximum points. correct me if that is wrong

Yeah there is a 15 metre test availiable although very few institutions use it.
L15 S5 will get you 100 points (top score) on the RMFA on the POC

Police foces use the 15m version.
What worse is the pass rate is often level 5.6
Whats even worse than this is the fact some people fail it.

It's quite a disturbing thought. More for the state of the general population than anything else.

i have a test CD that has both a 15 and 20m (got if from that "how to be..." web site advertised on the fourm index)... im using 20m as i belived this is the one the marines would use? the school also uses the 20m. thanks for the feed back anyway.

The test is standardised although when at CTC I was adamant (as where quite a few of the other lads) that is was faster than previous ones we had all done. I'm sure it's not, but for some reason (nerves maybe) it does seem to get faster quicker.
Lots of people I've spoken to that have done a PRMC have mentioned this as well.
