I was like u when i wanted to join military and i couldnt run once around the running track without wanting to keel over and die. 2 months on i got my 1.5 run down from a pi5s poor 13:05 to a respectable 9:08. When i went into the careers office i would never had been able to join but now, im just trying to convince my mum to sign lol :(.

Well i used to be a cross country runner for my school and played for 3 footie teams when i was younger so i guess fitness is easier to gain again if you have had it previously. Still hard work though.:D

E5 mate, what sort of stuff were you doing to improve your time that drastically?

Running in the mornings, Swimming during my college lunch breaks that were 2 hours each day. and Cycling in the evening. Tried to skip for a while but i was useless, so for maybe 30 mins a day while watching emmerdale i would be skipping without the rope. Also i borrowed a friends weight vest and used to wear that constantly, but took it off during exercises, makes u feel like u lost 10 kg. Although in this period i neglected my upper body exercises so im now tryin hard to fix my pansy girlie push up scores, got lots of tips from this site :).

Sleek, did you say you completed your RG8 form with you GP??? I took mine in nearly 3 weeks ago. I called them the other day to see how it was getting on and I was told, after 2 weeks: "The doctor hasn't had chance to look at it yet, it's not priority you see. Give it another week"
Not priority!?!?!?!?! It's my future thanks very much, it's a bloody priority to me!...not to mention you're getting paid for doing the thing!

Yes could be a good idea, i was waiting 3 weeks for my doctor and when she told me to come back in the morning to pick it up she hadn't even started to do it, so basically she waited for me to arrive before keeping me waiting 20 - 30 minutes.

I tend to do that, reply to a post thats years old

Well i took my papers in to my dr's only to be told that he's b*ggered of on his jollies for 6 weeks 6 weeks i tell you. So the receptionist woman has tallied everything up and it is basically waiting for the doc's signature. whenever he feels like coming back

Nightmare!!!!!
