1. No matter how badly the PTIs talk to you and make you feel like dirt, its not personal.

2. If one of the tests goes wrong, don't worry and don't give up because you may still pass. This happened to me, I buggered up bottomfield but still passed even though i had hit rock-bottom and was convinced i had failed.

3. Remember what they say, if you give up it'll be harder for you to get another try so hang in there until the very last minute.

On the regain rope about half way through the assault course you have to cross the rope and then at the end you must climb up and over the pole at the other end (i just thought you climbed off after the rope). Anyway, i did that wrong about 3 times until i was told what i had done wrong - that got me a bath under the monkey bars (i think i came in about 5 mins  ).

After that the rest was the telegraph pole which is HEAVY. As i was one of the smaller lads and most of my team had vw'd/ failed i was right at the end. That meant there were just 4 of us trying to do military-presses and bicep curls with this thing :-? I thought my back was going to break but colours wasn't going to have any of it

Anyway later that day one of the captains made a passing comment saying "Mr.C, might as well fail you right now, weak as £$*^". After that was a bit of an uphill struggle as i thought i was as good as failed. Failed the battle swim test (full kit, tread water for 3 minutes without touching the side - i was swallowing alot of water and my wee legs cud'ne take any more!)

Anyway, got to the end and was told i had passed - it pays not to give up.

1-Listen and listen well
2-Do as you told, and exactly how you are told
3-Give it your all and dig deep
4-DO NOT figet, scratch or lose concerntration by admiring or nosing on things going on around you, especially when in the gym.
5-Most importantly, DO NOT GIVE UP!!. It will end eventually.
6-Have fun mate :D

:D Remember they can not get you pregnant, and they probably know more about your limits than you do, so leave all the limit testing to them.

Good luck mate and enjoy that commando slide for me, I can not wait to get back on that.

Nope, you only do that on the POC. I'm just saying, having screwed up big-time on bottomfield i still passed through not giving up.
