Hello all, ive recently started training specificly for 1.5 mile run, with target of 9 mins, i do the run 5 times a week, 2 days run, 1 day rest, ive only been running 4 days.. dropped it from 10:18 to 10:04 so far, but there is this problem.. i can run the first 0.5 mile in under 3 mins, the next 0.5 mile is 3:25.. or something.. and the last 0.5 mile is over 3:30.. i get exhausted and slow down, and i cant even think of sprinting the last half a mile.. way too much, i can sprint last 100m :( any techniques to it? for 9 mins? or just time.. because im really trying to get it down before january..

Since i am only joining army foundation college, basic training, but 2 months after joining, you can swtich to AFC para training, so it would be a good oppurtunity for me :)

Anyway thanks for reply, interval training helped alot.. jsut did a 1.5 mile run today, best time.. 9:36 ;)

:|:|:| im not a fool, i still got 2 months, thats the whole point, of training.. to get better :| , and yeah 9:36 wouldn't make a pass for the paras, but, all im saying thanks for the tip Chris, it helped me mentally, and physically

And 9:18 is to pass, for paras unless you was trying to join SAS 8:16 i think.. im not sure, dont mean to sound rude by the way..
