Re-applying

Hi all,

Just after some advice really.

I applied to join the Royal Marines last year. I got through the whole application process up until PRMC, but I was having a lot of problems at home and such, so I had to keep delaying it. I won't delve in to them, as they are very personal.

Anyway, I decided to join the Army as a Signaller, but my problems at home persisted and I realised that it wasn't for me, I'd rather go Royal, so I came out early within the first two weeks (UFAS).

Would this affect me applying for the Royal Marines again?

I have finally sorted everything out at home, after 8 months. I'm living independent now and I'm guaranteed not to have any home issues.

Thanks for any advice, it's truly appreciated.

Most important thing, when they interview you - be honest.. my history is colourful - and i still passed, infact he said the most important thing about the corps, is integrity. So when it comes to the crunch, umm and err about it but tell them the whole truth.

Cheers guys... so you think I could stand a good chance of being given a second chance, as long as I be honest with them?

I'm seeing the recruitment officer next week on my day off. As long as I know that I will be accepted on condition I pass all the stages, irregardless of the UFAS, then it's something I can concentrate on and get done.

If on the other hand there is no chance of me being accepted due to the UFAS, then it's best waiting for a few more years and concentrating on my current career.

Thanks again lads

Honesty is the best policy mate, and im pretty sure you will be given a second chance. They may give you a conditional pass, which at the end of the day is still a pass. Just go down there and be truthful.

Best of luck.
