Greetings all. I've been lurking about here for some time now soaking up masses of information like a giant sponge. I've made a few posts here and there but I thought I'd take the opportunity for an official introduction :D

Here goes... :D

Hoping to join the RM as an officer after uni. Born and bred in a medium-sized town west of Glasgow so I'll probably be goin to Strathclyde. Living in Scotlands not too bad apart from our lack of appearances at recent world cups. I'm still quite young, nearly 18, but I've applied to join the RMR.. just waiting for holding troop to start up. Wanted toin join the RM for a good couple of years now and probably wouldn't want to join any other service if I failed.

Anyway, this site has been a great help with fitness training and just general knowledge that probably is impossible to find anywhere else. For that I just wanted to say thanks as I know this site is a great aid for people like myself and others who are joining the forces.
:D

Another winner in the lottery of life joins, always nice to see.

I'm a Glaswegian myself, and also at Strathclyde uni - it beats Glasgow any day however i'd still rather be in the process for the RM's than at uni.

Good luck with the training, dig in - pain is temporary, quitting last forever.

Thats my cheesy quote for today over so i'll see you around.

I can't remember the last time I posted on this side of the fence but it'd be rude of me not to welcome a fellow Scot :D

Good luck with RMR (and I won't tell you what a sick barsteward the PTI is  )

How do you guys use the toilet :o Bit unhygenic I thought!

Also had a great time before in Aberdeen (also best man at a wedding) and Ft William. Plenty of time for Jockland 8)

perfect practice makes perfect. What I do is lift the front of my kilt up and clamp it under my chin, left hand holds the wand and right hand holds the boxers down (I personally tend to wear boxers).

It's not a pretty picture as my mouth is usually wide open to help support the kilt with my chin, but who's watching.

This, i admit, it a pretty stupid way of doing it, and i'm sure there are much easier/better ways of doing it - but if it isn't broken why fix it.

A bloke was getting married and said to his best man
" We will be getting married in the kilt", his best man replied "What's the tartan" he replied,
" I suppose she will be in white".

Lift kilt and aim. In cases where kilt wearer is pissed - hope for the best
