after just failing a medical because of an astma problem a few years ago,
i was speaking to somone who was in the army and they told me the same thing happend to him, and they sent him for a further medical, were they put all sort of tubes and things on him to see if his breathing was ok :(
and i was just wondering has anyone had this done or heard of it, because i would save me alot of time, as i have to wait until NOVEMBER 2007 :x

thanks for your time

Danny, their tests are extremely important. The demands of basic training in the military will weigh heavily on your lung capacity and the last thing they will want to do is to damage your health. Hence the tests.

You could try swimming. One of my sons had asthma and the swimming vastly increased his lung capacity.

i respect that, but i have never had a serious problem with it, and have never had a problem within the last 3 years, i do alot of swimming, and a couple of tai chi breathing exercises, so i am more than confident my breathing is fine.
i think i should be alowed a proper examination to test my breathing, rather than waiting till later next year, then having them tell me somthing like... "oh your fine"... and my ansswer being to them .." i could of told you that 2 years ago"
its just going to be a waste of time.
