So the next crock of shyte campaign to be launched is by a Londoner who wants to change the Union Jack to a Union Black. What he wants is black lines all over it to reflect out multi-cultural nation. He says he wants a flag we can all be proud of. Now for F**K SAKE!! That is just taking it too far.

My moms neighbour is an elderly west indian lady.

She is fiercly patriotic, even has a portrait of the queen mother in her main living room. And minitures of the royal family.

Chris your right, I shouldn’t have forgotten the Welsh. At the time I was just thinking about the national flags that were combined to make the Union Flag;

England: the cross of St George
Scotland: the cross saltire of St Andrew
Ireland: cross saltire of St Patrick

Apparently, the Welsh Dragon does not appear because when the first Union Flag was created in 1606 the Principality of Wales was already united with England.

But I get your point and, if anything, it’s the Welsh Dragon that should be added to the Union Flag.

Your right, this flag will never happen, but the people who propose this tosh like to test the waters too see what they can get away with. The London Borough of Brent have a road named after Mandela, if there’s a Churchill Road in Brent I’d be surprised. Next thing will be Birmingham renamed Ghandi City, I hope people do make a fuss about this.

i live in brent and i dont know about churchill road but there is one which does appear to be named after bob marley.

Bloody insanity if you ask me. I don't see the Commonwealth countries/provinces that incorporate the Union Jack within their flags changing it.

There is a movement, down here, to bin the inclusion of the Union Flag from both the Australian flag and the flags of the various States. Suggested replacements fall into two camps, either a black, red and yellow version of the Aboriginal Flag, or a hippy theme involving green blue and yellow. WA will never drop the Union Flag as part of it`s own, but some of the other States eventually will do so.
Not long after we got here, I was accosted by a fat Californian carrying one "alternative" version. He was handing out flyers and a crowd of surfey guys were taking the piss. He said to me," Hey, man, we gotta get our own flag, man"
"Where`s that Elmer? Southern California? "
One of the surfy guys told him to stick the flag up his erm, yes, as they had a nice flag of their own.
Much laughter from the surfers. When I asked where they or their parents came from, they replied, "Greece, Italy, Scotland,etc".

This is stupid, if he’s not happy with the flag deport him back to where ever he came from, if he’s not happy with the system deport him, actually as this is a screw political correctness thread deport or lock up anyone who causes problems get rid of all the f**kers as far as I’m concerned, I’ve had enough of this were Black were Asian, we asylum seekers we should be treated better than anyone else.
