I didnt like 'we were soldiers' really unrealistic, saying that which holywood war film isnt. Black Hawk down was good, but again a cock up which was glorified by Holywood.

Das boots number 17 i remember watching it ages ago it can get very boring and uneventful at times but when there being depth charged the acting and suspense is great

Apocalypse Now. While it could hardly be described as realistic, Marlon Brando and Robert Duvall's acting make it the best.

Landing scenes filmed in Ireland with Royal as extras apparantly, a lad I bumped into who was there and ex 539 (for the filming that is) said there were stacks of injuries doing the stuff for filming as they pushed for realism.

Anyway heres one for Sneaks and cannot go unmarked............

Now DOC!
You know as well as I do that I had the connections from black, cold heart to tear ducts removed by the Surgeon General the day they issued the Warrant Card! (Thats never been polished unlike the Gay Bandy's Horn!!)
