i think it would be a good idea for people to post there motivational tips on here, things that make training more enjoyable or easy to handle. i know a few people here will claim to not needing motivation however i think most will agree it is extremely usefull.

I dont think of it as motivation - all I want to do is to make it in and therefore I train hard or else I wont.
Simple yet effective.

When i train and when im finding it hard i just think of the situation like this, the harder i train, the fitter i will become, meaning the better body i will have, which therefore in turn means the more ladys i will get. But wait it doesnt stop there, as your body gets better the more ladys you unlock for you to seduce. lol

. Hows that for motivation. But i just suppose for the marines you just have to look at it like this, the more you stick to your training, harder you train and fitter you become will make the thirty two weeks that bit easier, Remember the five P's, Previous Preparation Prevents Poor Performance. Also heres a little quote the guy down at my AFCO gave me "fitness isnt a liability" which means the fitter you are before you think of signing up the better, So get as fit as fiddle and you cant go wrong

Well my motivation is to do with rugby
When I'm doing press-ups and other exercises I just think how much harder I'll be able to take down the opposition during a match.
Usually I just think of one guy on the other team I dont like and imagine him flying through the air...

As I said in another thread earlier. get a PRMC booked, you will suddenly have all the motivation in the world.

When I'm really hanging out during a training session I sometimes chant "can't crack me, I'm a rubber duck" over and over in my head. Strange, but it seems to work for me. Takes your mind off the pain.
The other thing has already been alluded to, just think how much fitness is going to benefit you in preparation for your future career. Think about earning your green lid or think of the consequences of failure if you don't train hard enough.

When i'm nackered and my body's telling me to stop i just imagine that i'm banging my bird

, and how disappointed she would be if i was too nackered to go on. And somehow i always manage to carry on even faster than before. Your body will carry on even though it tells you to stop, so if your strong mentally you will have no problem getting the results you want.

Metallica - ...And Justice For All
Metallica - Master of Puppets
Listening to these albums when slogging up some muddy track is absolutely awesome. Fast and aggressive music is great stuff for running.

I run to USMC running cadence. That is friggin awesome for motivation and really keeps you going.
I also think what I'm doing it for, and imagine that day being presented with the Green Beret.
(if anyone wants USMC cadence, I have about 60 tracks on cd - that I have copied to my pc. Let me know if you want some)
My 250th post - dedicated to Lucy. RIP
