Hello Jack,
I do know of one ex-Royal who lives in Bangkok. His name is Johno and he's now a cameraman freelancing for the BBC.

I was told there is an ex Sgt Maj running a bar out there with his family... lots of bars for you to check out there so off you go and start looking
