You'll basically get a letter with the programe for your selection centre, It will tell you everything that you do on the stay, DO NOT go there thinking It's going to be piss easy, because Its definately not.

The phisical side was hard and after the warm up I was sweating like F*ck but just keep focused and you'll be good.

Have a go at It man. If you really prepare youself physically and mentally you'll pass It no problem.

What sort of physical things did you have to do? I know it includes a 1.5 mile run but can you go deeper and tell us any details? If you can't do details then can you tell us what physical things you had to do? I'm getting my date soon I need a couple of interviews first though..

But cheers anyway Tennant and well done for passing!

1.5 MILE RUN - Warm up before Is like a 1.5 mile run itself

Jerry cans by your sides walking about 100 mters I think It Is then you've got to sprint back with them after whistle Is blown.

Static lift you just pull up this thing from the ground as hard as you can 3 attempts

Back Extension 3 attempts

then you have to lift a weight up above your shoulders up to 55KG I think It was

Heaves as many as you can with the best possible form on a beam, you have to jump about a foot to grab It

The run Is the thing I found the hardest, you should pass everything fairly easy If you prepare properly.

All the best

Are heaves done with palms facing away, or towards the person doing them? Also, what phiz did you do in the way of pressups and situps?

Cheers, Brent

Heaves are done with your plams towards you and your knuckles away.

If you found it hard then it concerns me as RSC isnt even the tip of the ice berg. Good luck though, just remember its as hard as you make it.

Yep, that was the same with me, think it was 180 meters and you just have to keep to the pace of the PTI, Pretty easy.

How did you get on? what was your choice?

Talking of jerry cans....

In my first week of depot, i forgot to bring a note book to a lecture...so when i got back to the block one of my corporals had me running up and down the corridor with a full jerry can in each hand for what seemed like hours (probably more like 5 minutes  ).

Still, the pain was enough to remind me not to forget a notebook ever again :P

God, i remember on Intro Ex 3 when some c@#t from 1 section changed the stag roster. He didn't own up and we got belted up and down this hill with warm kit and full CEFO for a whole hour untill he cracked. Then the Lance Sgt's got the PTI out to tab us back 5.5 miles with full exercise kit which as people will know is around 70+ lbs. Don't get me started on Tac Ex 1 where the people on stag didn't get us up for rieville at 0500. 0505, start of a MEGA thrashing!! Glory days you lot have it all to come, i am still undergoing all this. I used to imagine what it would be like, 12 weeks to go!!!

Goodluck to you all, its only hard at the time, afterwards you just laugh about it!!!!
