Hey people, I took the RT today, passed :) and have already got my date for the medical and interview, which is the 30th of March. Just wondering if anyone else’s came around that quickly or if I was lucky enough to get a switched on recruitment team.?

Well done on the pass. Didn't you have trouble with it last time?

I've got my interview, medical and PJFT on the 5th of April. Touch wood, I should be on a PRMC around May 5th.

I did mine 8 days after my final interview which was about 2 weeks after my RT, you'll be fine in the interview be truthful you can't go wrong. Medical isn't very complicated just lots of questions and a body check, BP and HR ect.

Cheers Bird

Yes mate, botched the math section

Am swatting up on my corps history this week now. And will have to hope that they don’t get funny about the odd shaped lump in my left shoulder. It works fine mind.

Cheers for the quick response.

My interview was about a month after my RT - some people on my RT day had thier interview the day after. I then did my medical at the earliest date (about a week after my interview). Then I did my PJFT about a month later in Decemeber and got my PRMC in June.

I`m aiming for a July/August PRMC. It was this March, but due to injury that all went to pot.

Jon, what was your AFCO like with regards to you applying in December but asking for a summer PRMC?

I'm hoping for a june PRMC, my CV is pretty good, but I need the time to build up my upper body as I pretty much wasted away in the last 4 months since I did my shoulder.

I applied around October/November last year I think. Did my PJFT in December and an acquaint day last month. I only got my PRMC date last week after I phoned the AFCO but its still not confirmed.

Basically, im not fit and they know it. The last thing I or the Marines want is for me to go and attempt the PRMC when im not ready. Its upto the applicant when he does his PRMC.

noticing a lot of people here from the date of applying to join and when they hope to go on prmc is quite a small length of time, may be worth re thinking but you know where your at in your fitness.

Go in and ask to see royal navy "procedures and practice test booklet" all will be revealed.

I think allot of me failing the first time was not having slept for 3 days prior to taking it, however I’ve never been one to make excuses so I went and did a maths course then took it again 6 months later and nailed it.

Dalo if your worried about your maths then pick up a GCSE book and practice, it might save you waiting around for 6 months like me.
