just thought id let you guys know that the whole series of "fighting the war" is on today on UKTV History. including the episode with 539.

Its on all day, back to back till 11pm tonight.

theres only about 5 different ones though, they just repeat them later on

Caught a couple of episodes, I found that really eye-opening...even though I had a couple of mates in there at that time, I'm still a bit shocked at what was involved

And my son still wants to join up, good for him to watch it I think.

I have watched a few aswell very good viewing.

I found the HMS splendid episode rather interesting, i dont know much about what goes on in a submariners working life so was interesting to watch.

I would but i dont have freeview or cable

it was the LCAC

I thought the passage he read out at the end was pretty good "life itself is a risk, people who are not willing to take risks are avoiding life itself, It is much better to die for freedom than to live in the shadow of ........... " It was something like that but i thought it it was good because when he said it it was very direct and in your face.
