Has anyone got any suggestions on how I can measure (fairly accurately) how far I have run? Like a GPS system or somthing?

Cheers

A Bicycle with a speedometer which measures distance on it...that's what I use.

If it's a road route you take, take a car along the route and measure it out using the milometer (spelt right?).

its called a mileometer because it measures miles, not ''odes''

Get an OS map and measure it out with a ruler.

For wiggly routes a piece of string does the trick

Get one of those meter measureing devises on a wheel that clicks everytime it makes a full rotation and take it running with you.

i had the opposite effect, i thought i was a sh*t hot para(albeit only doing t.a p coy  ) wannabe running 4 miles in 23 minutes and im actually running 3.4 miles

ego's taken a bit of a bruising thanks to that bloody map

for all the people going on about mileometers and other contraptions why bother?

millions of pounds has been spent making sure our country's maps are accurate, so if you know how to find you route on one why not take advantage of them, the link i posted is especially easy as you just type in your street name you start on and the city its in and you can plan a route from the accurate to there nearest .01 of a mile
