Anyone else got this date?

Had interview and medical today and no problems. They asked me if i felt i was fit enough to do a PGAC in two weeks! So i said yes :-? I'm more then confident that i'm ready just came as a shock that it will be so soon.

To think that i only started the application process 12 days ago!

Oh well onwards and upwards 8)

I know mate it all seems a tad wierd to me. I knew the process was fast for the regiment but the pace of my application is unbeliveable!

After i'd been for my medical following my interview, the Sergeant who did my interview asked if i wouldn't mind waiting around so the Squadron Leader could talk to me (something to do with making sure their doing there job right!). After a brief chat with him i asked what sort of date i could expect a PGAC just to know to sort out work etc. He then got on the phone direct Honnington right there and then, he then told me there was a space on one on the 7th December and was i ready?

So i said yes

Haha, well done Graeme. You'll have a good laugh on PGAC.

Where abouts in Yorks are you from?

As Gaz says, the 3 miler is easier.

The NCOs are a laugh, if you get anything from the tuck shop make sure you tell the SAC what you got, then tell him again. He will only keep asking.

You get to run round with a plastic SA80 too.

Hi guys just back form PGAC- Passed.

For any lads going down there soon, don't worry about the fitness tests i.e. 3 mile run etc - these are easy.

Worry more about the TAB and nigth exercise, luckly i'd read the stuff of this website posted by the other lads who've done a PGAC and got to the front early on. I mangaed to come in first, but i was still breathing out of my arse  .

For the TAB just grin and bear it :x .

The night exercise is the best thing, but hard work especially when your cold, tired and it's your turn on sentry duty :( .

PM me if any questions.

well done mate. glad to see someone doing so well! i was due my PGAC on Monday the 13th of this month but my AFCO phoned me yesterday saying its been postponed till jan 18th due to lack of numbers! i was gutted but at least i've got more time to train. makes me think if i'd walked into my afco just aweek ealrier i would've been on the same one as you! whats the TAB like? is it just a march in full kit? how do u mean the 3 milers easy? any info on any of the course would be great, what the NCOs are like, disipline levels. any tips at all! thanks
Kieran

some lads do find the PGAC easy as its only a test of basic fitness.

you need to be much fitter for the TG course
