Survival Exercises

Hello, i'm new here, so please excuse if it's the wrong spot I placed this.
Have you ever been on any survival exercises? You know, where they drop you in the middle of nowhere and then you stay there for a number of days??
Tell about them!

Not as yet, but when I get to battalion, I will be specialising in survival training. Good thing to know about, and something I think the military should have a think about, and introduce to all basic training, even if its just the theory of some of the basics.
I belive they have started covering some basics at ITC(C) recently.

as long as you take your 'chris ryans ultimate survial guide' with you, you cant go wrong. once i had to sleep in a bus stop becuase i couldnt find my hotel.but my ultimate expirance was getting stuck in the toilet in the cinema. the toilet sign was pointing to the fire exit and there was no fire exit sign. i was only about 8 and my mum had to come and find me.
