Try and get to the King's Badge Board in the drill shed tomorrow, Sunday 12 Sep, straight after the RMA march off the parade. (Lunch time-ish.)
It's the MF meeting place, and it would be great for the 'old and bold' to meet you guys.

Hey mate,
as someone who's in the early stages of training you can let us know what to expect when i get down there (Nov 1st). What i really want to know is how does traning compare to the PRMC, in particular that horrendous beasting we got on the bottom field?

Do you do that sort of PT often?- the corporal taking us for the sesh said 'this is nothing compared to what we put the recruits through' which i must admit, is a little bit of a concern. Doesn't put me off though, i quite enjoyed it (when it ended at least).
But basically how does the intensity of training compare to the PRMC? And one more thing, do they let you off camp for shore leave often? I asked my careers advisor and he seemed a little unsure.

Foobar you can search for sh*t like that, you are in the gym doing everything to beeps etc.... untill around week 9, then you do gym pass out and move to bottom field PT sesions, this is where they start giving you weight and weapons to carry through the warm ups and assualt course, dont worry about this too much mate because you will be so use to doing PT that it doesnt seem as bad (or so my mate says), when you get to around week 22 you do bottom field pass out and start the commando course.

Hi just finished week 10 and Ex Hunters Moon (Hangout

). Very knackering Ex that one, loads of bergen carrying, Night Nav Ex, stalking etc. Apparently one of only a few troops not to have any one get lost on the Night Nav Ex. Had gym pass out last Friday end of week 9 that was very hard.
Down from 52 to 37 now with 34 originals.
I've got 2 weeks on the ranges now and my Helo, Dunker and NBC drills

and bottom field the week after so a lot more interesting stuff but hard stuff coming up.
druadan on leaving CTC saw 883 ran into the mud

The photography guys got some hoofing phots as well.
