Its a Damm sad day when the likes of Owdun 'Frank' decides to quit because of all the 'Nobbers' and 'w@#k' poke their snouts in,Frank is probably the only remaining link with 40 Commandos departure from Palestine in the June of 1948,allthough I did not join 40 Commando untill the June of 1949 I never met up with Frank, we did know certain characters within the Commando, and I do regret not meeting a 'Gentleman' of the old school. If the likes of Owdun departs what chance have we got with stories from the old times.I know Frank is not the sort to back down from a punch up I for one would sooner have him alongside me than all of those Nobbers put together.Aye JR

JR, its a sad day indeed and I hope that Owdun will be back soon.
I guess there is only one way that it will happen though.

As it has already been stated, it is a shame that
he has left us, especially if it is because of some
D%^K heads,
But has anyone been in touch with him to see if he is ok?
I hope he is well and await his return.

You can replace an Officer, You can replace a Snco or
Jnco
BUT YOU CANNOT REPLACE A THREE BADGER.

Welcome back Owdun. Its good to have the older generation around, as you have been there and done it, worn the t-shirt and can pass the information on to us, which i regard highly.
