:( Its a Damm sad day when the likes of Owdun 'Frank' decides to quit because of all the 'Nobbers' and 'w@#k' poke their snouts in,Frank is probably the only remaining link with 40 Commandos departure from Palestine in the June of 1948,allthough I did not join 40 Commando untill the June of 1949 I never met up with Frank, we did know certain characters within the Commando, and I do regret not meeting a 'Gentleman' of the old school. If the likes of Owdun departs what chance have we got with stories from the old times.I know Frank is not the sort to back down from a punch up I for one would sooner have him alongside me than all of those Nobbers put together.Aye JR :fist:

JR, its a sad day indeed and I hope that Owdun will be back soon.
I guess there is only one way that it will happen though.

As it has already been stated, it is a shame that
he has left us, especially if it is because of some
D%^K heads,

But has anyone been in touch with him to see if he is ok?

I hope he is well and await his return.

Aye

You can replace an Officer, You can replace a Snco or
Jnco

BUT YOU CANNOT REPLACE A THREE BADGER.

 Confined to 'Bunker',Its just one of those things we all have a tendency to poke our heads above the parapet and put things to right,I do venture forth and like Owdun jump in feet first,I have on a couple of occasions been very tempted to call it a day, then comes the call keep ya head down and ignore so I'll soldier on and keep on dashing back into the Bunker.Aye jr

Welcome back Owdun. Its good to have the older generation around, as you have been there and done it, worn the t-shirt and can pass the information on to us, which i regard highly. :)
