12th September is the date for the Sunday parade, and just in case it rains this year, (seeing as how it hasn't stopped all b****y summer) how about all forum members meet next to the Kings Badge Board in the drill shed immediately after the parade.

Any of you serving 'nods' who would like to join us for a forum photo, it would be great to meet you....... and we need someone to buy the beer!

See you there!

Aye, Derek

I've just returned from yet another great visit to CTCRM!

For the first time in years,(the ancient Booty next to me reckoned 10yrs) the reunion was held in the drill shed because of the weather forecast. It was perfectly dry as we started, and the sun came out half way through! However, about 10 minutes before the end, the heavens opened, and we could see rain lashing the parade ground; well done the weathermen!

For the first time ever we were joined by a recruit troop; in this case 883 Troop, and the young officers batch. I chatted to some of 883 after the parade, and what a great bunch they were; I was most impressed, especially as they'd only been at CTCRM a few days.

The turn out of MF members was disappointing , but at least John_D made it to the right place this time!

Went down and had a fantastic time... And had a good look at the botom field.... looks, interesting, would love to give it a try... Me and my Dad managed to blag a cabin in the Sergeants Mess which was a laugh... Great to see all those vets bringing out their medals... Met this one guy who joined at 17 and by 18 was at normandy, had a chest full of medals... And the Urinaphone was a bit of fun as well...

I thought the guy in the middle ( i think he was a sergeant) looked a lot like Hugh Laurie... All that said, was still a fantastic performance by all involved.
