Duck

Forget trying to be all-tactical, be Rambo, because everyone else will be!!!

Wear boots, not trainers they come off in the mud.

Don’t ever lift your mask up in a game!!!! Big no no.

Do shoot your friend in the ass, its funny as hell to see them jump about

Forget trying to hit anything over 40ft, they're paintball guns not sniper rifles.

Be prepared for some fat balding middle-aged business exec that tries to kill you with his pent up aggression.

If you see a load of people turn up in military gear there most likely TA so don’t worry about them hitting you (they wont)

Take some food and drink along, there food will most likely be shite, or way to expensive.

Take as much dosh as you can, you’ll be able to be a better Rambo if you got plenty of balls.

Get a few Mk 5 Thunderflashes and throw them between your oppos legs when they ain't lookin....its great.

Take risks early in the game and remember the principles of a good fire position, 1)cover from view and fire 2) muzzel clearance 3) concealed entrance and exit 4)wide arcs of fire.

And like lew said, shit loads of paint, and just put the fire down, don't try and be Tom Merringer!! The guns are usually about as accurate as a blind porn star.

i was going to buy a paintball gun that went 150ft, i think they do go further than 40ft, but i never have been paintballing so i dont know that much so you could be right. Go on www.about.com and then search paintball, i think they have quite alot of stuff on there about it. 8)

1, I never said they couldn’t go over 40ft, because they can, they just aren’t very accurate over that type of distance, (cross wind, gas levels, user accuracy etc) if you want to spend lots of £££ then I’m sure you will find one that will shoot out to and be accurate to 150 ft, but the ones you will use at what ever paintball place you go to will be bog standard. VERY!!! Used, a little wobbly, and most probably be running low on gas as the day runs on.

2, If you go to a paintball place, with your own gun, you may be told you cannot use it as it will give you an unfair advantage, you will definitely be spotted by the marshals who sometimes carry the better paintball guns, who will almost certainly take a crack at you, they will be good shots, have a full tank of gas, and will be more than capable of shooting you from a fair distance (trust me on that one 8)).

3, every other mucker there will think your a twat for having your own gun and hunt you down . But hey, it’s your call.

Good luck and happy paintballing.

btw, I’m an ex marshal just in case you wanted to know.

I think if you turned up with one of these they may well think you're a twat but the wouldn't let you know it!!!!

That said, at the bottom of the page it tells you of fully operational ones retailing for $6000, crazy.
