Hi,
I'm French soon joining the reserve then maybe the active duty in France. Like many French military personnels I have a tremendous respect for the best military in Europe, the British one,for whom we had first been a match then an ally and which served partly as a pattern for our fusiliers marins(marines), commandos marines(SBS), which both wear the british beret and our paras which come from the French SAS regiments.
My question is what do you think of the fact that some British units will march on the Champs-Elysees on the 14th of July? I know that those who will on the French side consider it as an honour and find it fairer than doing that with a military with almost no traditions or of lesser quality as it has been done before.
Thanks and Cheers for Crimea, WW1, WW2(north africa, france , norway, erythrea, syria, dakar, holland, germany, pacific, england, atlantic, germany),Korea, Suez, afghanistan, liberia, sierra leone, gulf war one, afghanistan, Bosnia, kosovo, red sea and all the other places where our soldiers, airmen and sailors fought side by side. You were a good enemy, you are a good ally. :)

We complain about you 'Garlic chewing frogs' and you call us 'ros boeuf' but when the chips are down history shows us on the same side. Well recently anyway [puts on archers uniform and puts two fingers up]

Back in WW1 & WW2 our countries fought side by side. Of course we should march along side each other.

Also it will give us a great opportunity to celebrate the victorious England team as winners of Euro 2004.
