How childish can you be

this will be my last post on this site, becouse i answerd a lot of the threads and a lot of them were one liners, (as most posts on all the forums are, ) the so called moderators cryed to each other and now i have been reduced to a new member, surly the idea of the threds is to answer rather than sit read and do nothing. It is so childish i do not want to belong to a site that is dictated by a few has beens who still think they are in the military.
to all my mates on here will miss you you guys and girls
to the rest of you
To Mrs Hopkins, mwa mwa, thanks for the memories
No one ever comes down here to the archives Loz

I'm sorry that Soldierblue has taken what was a constructive piece of advice about his posting to heart. He was advised, by a moderator, that a few comments had been received from other members about his one line responses to every subject under the sun. He was posting in forums devised for conversation and reflection as well as humour; unfortunately his style of input is more suited to a 'chatroom' format, similar to the 'shout' facility.
We have suddenly acquirred a large influx of new members from another site, run in a dictatorial manner by a doomer. We welcome new members, with new ideas and thoughts, but must maintain the standard and quality which makes this site so important to so many members of long standing.

I suppose he means our dick taker El Prez!
'Has beens', could that mean moi? Surely not! And not on a site called 'militaryforums'.
As a member of long standing I now beg the moderators permission to sit down while posting my lengthy comments, as one 'has been' to another.

You must still be really tall and gallant, we all thought you were sitting down

, which is the exact opposite of my condition, terminally vertically challenged

Nah, but I do have trouble with upright fridge freezers and walk in wardrobes!

I will never be tall, but I will survive...........don't you just hate Gloria Gaynor, you'll be humming that for the rest of the evening.

Having browsed the other sections of this forum, ie, pongo, jack crab and even para, there seems to be little activity on those sections, all are on Royals side, i don`t know where Soldierblue did his time, but if he wants to play with the boys, then surely he should, "Blend in", not expect to become one of the Boys overnight. The one liners are ok on some threads, (hell, i should know) but tact and diplomacy are required on others.I think the one liners are called Sarcasm in our Bootneck world, but hey, unless you talk the talk, it`s very hard to be understood. Why did soldierblue not try and encourage his oppos to go to the crab and other relevant sections, and gradualy blend in? your answers on a postcard please. at the end of the day, we all have our own views on things, we will not always see eye to eye, but this is a forum, and we are here to give our views, argue the toss, and not throw our dummie out when we have a slap.Enough said,

OK, it was me.
I spent a lot of time on this guy and gave him the benefit of the doubt, even untill his last

posting, here is an example, mine is in bold, I was talking about the majority of posters(who would they be, H?)
Look at most of their posts and you will see a difference between what they post, which has content, interest, humour, sarcasm, wit, irony, etc., and the vast majority of your posts. Here are several examples,
lmol swords or Pistols Tab
and make sure that it is well lubracated as well, otherwise it will not go up and down properly
not really into games on the computer but did try Desert Storm it was good,
If you had your time over gain what would you Join
Do you see my point? If not, look at a typical thread on Miss Diss on RM Forums.
The occasional one line reply, or even one word reply is fine. But not 111 one liners.
Please take on board my comments in the spirit in which I send them. Your post count will now be reset to one post.
Following that, we had a bit more”correspondance”, bloody hard work it was, too.
I’m not interfering with your freedom of speech, I’m responding to comments made to me about your posts by members of these forums. I had noticed a tendency towards repetition and a certain sameness in your posts. So have the other moderators, they are aware of this correspondence and fully agree with me.
The quality of these forums is very high and it has been achieved by the membership following the guidelines that I mentioned yesterday, content, interest, humour etc. It is largely “self policing” . However, when someone is constantly posting outside of the parameters, a moderator’s job is to pull them up. You are not the only one, but with 111 posts in less than a week you are the most prolific. At this rate of posting, you will be knocking out five hundred posts per month. If you are not made aware of how your posts are being received, you are sure to continue posting in the same manner and in my opinion, the overall quality of the Forums will drop.
What I’m suggesting to you is that you consider my comments as constructive criticism and review the content of your future posts.
Seems fair enuff to me
Bootneck, can I have a word with you, about your one liners? In your own time, naturally

What I liked most of all about this thread was the way Soldierblue answered his own 'Post Subject' question!
Secondly I liked Harry's 'Moderator' warning of what we can expect if we don't sharpen up. Very subtle!
And thirdly, I liked 'Paras' mis-spelt and grammar mangled one liner! In the circumstances that was a gutsy move. Anyone heard from him since then?
I think that's enough for one post, I'll stop now.

While I must admit most of SB's posts were minimal, they were harmless drivel most of the time. HH was right to pull him up over it and SB got the hump, C'est la vie.
What I'm more worried about now is the bloody word count of my posts from now on, will I get the dreaded PM from double H?
Should I re-write War & Peace every time I post?
Will the thought police be calling in the small hours?
I can't sleep for worry.....................is that enough words or should I go on...........where do I stop.................OMIGOD...........HELP !!
(tongue firmly in cheek)
