...........You 'orrible lot!
I survived copper college and darlin' Trev keeps 'reminding' me where my loyalties lie, and has now suggested on a number of occasions that I re-visit and say hello again!
So here I am! Yes that was 20 weeks ago I waved bye bye to you all and went charging off up the M45 to sunny Cov to do the college stage of my training! On a weeks AL this week and then 2 weeks back at force HQ and then 10 weeks out with my tutor! Should make for interesting times as he is a grizzly bear sized man mountain who is riot trained! And Im 5 ft 4 and completely terrified! Comedy coppers!
Would just like to thank BR for his telephone advice and everyone else who sent me words of wisdom? reassurance? advice? before I started, I havent even started on the hard bit yet! But I'll get there.
Am going to be stationed in sunny (ahem) old Bedford, again should be interesting with our 'diverse cultural and national mix'!!!!!!!!!!
Trust nothing has changed while Ive been away, Are the infamous 'farmer giles' still a 'hot' topic?
Saw lots of new names when I logged on just now.....
Will be good to re-acquaint myself with the madness that is MF!

We haven't met, but congrats anyway.
I have a few buds here in the Calgary Police Service in Canada. My old OC (actually, he's not THAT old!), is now the ops sgt for the HAWKS police helicopter service. These guys all do a thanksless but vital job. When my mate walked into the mess the other day with 70 stitches in his arm, it gave me pause for thought....These guys are xposed to an un-uniformed enemy every day of their lives.

I went to uni in Luton and spent a while in BEdford - ha! in some places it was just like stepping into India - with markets and fruits and dust and curry smells and kids dressed as little genies running around - just needed an ox and cart to complete the picture!
And yet somehow I was the white trash! Er... yeah mate, just behind you there is an arse you can shove that up!

Welcome back Jules, hope you haven't caught the plod plague and remain human, well as human as you ever were. Was at the Fire Service College at Moreton a few weeks back and was surprised to find the firefighters outnumbered by plod nods, what's the crack, didn't you leave them any room at Ryton?

Jason The Argonaut....yes I am enjoying it, was hard work, difficult to get myself used to a classroom environment after......well, lets say youve been in a classroom far more recently than me! But I managed it ok in the end!

Barryc....Im not really sure which counties use Moreton for training as Thames Valley (TVP or Trans Vestite Police) were with us at Ryton...Had a lad from Swindon in my class, who said Moreton was only down the road from him so Ryton was a bit of a trek for him each week!

Rytons got excellent facilities, so I was glad to be there really. The intake before us from Beds went to Bramshill so I think I was quite lucky.
Bootneck....Yes I do still have them. You promised not to tell and you remember what the punishment for telling was dont you........? :flirt:
Loz....Good to be back....Ive still got a way to go yet, but I shall be in there doing my best from day one....Fear not you may sleep safe in your bed, I shall be defending you from forgetful old ladies putting tins of cat food in their basket and forgetting to pay because, well, they are the true scourge of society arent they?
