I've been flicking through the marines section about press ups and they say the elbows have to be tucked in while doing press ups is this the case with the paras aswell. Also i know one of the running tests is 1.5 miles in 9:30mins is there anymore running tests like a 3 miler or sprints.

How many times have we been through the push up situation.
If you are unsure and you dont understand all of the discussions on push ups on the website, do the instight course and they will show you how to do them properly and they way you need to do them for depot.

Wouldn't worry about what type of press ups you do.. believe me you'll be doing all sorts.. cross thumb, wide spread, inclined, chinese.. ! the lot.. just get yourself fit as mofo and make that part of basic training MUCH easier on yourself. With all the BS that gos on you need to be fit to handle lack of sleep etc..

the fitter you are, the happier you'll be as a recruit..
