Were you ever in 42 Cdo?
If so then there is an association. It costs a whole six quid (£6) to join.
There are at present 500 members, and the next reunion is in June 2002 at Blackpool.
If you want to join email me for details.

Hi Yorkie,
Am Ex-Sigs and didn't know this Association existed. Served in 42 twice in the 60's. Most instant memories are Sarawak, Aussie Ex's and Phil the Greek presenting Colours.
As there are only 500 members there are 1000's out there who need to know about you.
Will do my best from now on to educate them. Will contact you on web.

Regards

Paddy Nye (Ex HQ & M Coy)

Paddy, Missed the confrontation, unusuall for me?, but was on the parade for Phill. So you must have been at the Pull Out of Aden.
Dusty Millar has some photos of it, he was a judo player, who went on to be a PW, can't remember which coy he was in.
I was in Loving coy for the Parade.

Lynx, The whole reason I keep bashing on about RMA 42 Association, 45 in FI, etc, etc.
Is that without you sprogs we would go under, without you sprogs the corps would fold.
NFP details by other means
Or as the Sally Army says:

Served in 42 Cdo from February 72 (straight from training) until I departed to become an 'a Marine of above average intelligence' and joined the sigs branch in August 74. (Incidentally that quote is from the official RM site and no I don't believe it either!)
Let me have the details and I will send off my 6 quid ASAP.

Hello Yorkie

Could I ask that any of your 42 Cdo RM Assoc members that might possess any phots that they took during Op Corporate, and would be willing for them to be copied that they contact me ASP. I have been collecting and storing a whole variety of Falklands phots and images for the last few months, in preparation for a display at the 45 reunion in June.

All prints and negs will be well looked after and scanned and digitally enhanced with the originals being sent back to the sender by secure post. Thereafter the piccies will be added to the library collection (near-on 300 at the mo), of which a complete copy of the collection going to the RM Museum for their files and a CD produced for anyone who wants a copy.

Negs, prints, discs, CD's can be forwarded to me at
