I was just looking at the Army Health Questionaire Sheet and I was reading over the page that lists medical problems such as; heart problems, high blood pressure.. etc.. Anyways, one of them is Learning Difficulties. I have dyslexia and I was wondering if this would effect me from not being able to join the Pars?
thanx

know plenty of dyslexic doctors who've managed to make successful careers despite a few problems along the way. It's surprisingly common. I know medicine and being in the para's isn't the same. I can't see you're fellow sky gods being overly sympathetic though!

Eagle6, i used to have dyslexia in my younger days (maybe even now a bit?) but after havin lessons with a specail teacher in the subject of english, I was able to cope with it and now I probably read more than any1 I know and my best marks in my gcse's were in Eglish language and litrature. Dont let worry you mate. Get reading, and if you never realy have and cant get into any stories, then buy a book on the para's and read up, if that what u want to do.

ok. thanx for the info. I went to a special school for 6 years when I was younger. It helped alot but my dyslexia is still there just not as bad. I'll mark it off on the Questionaire Sheet and tell the army I have it.
Thanx
