Right,

I am in the application process for the Royal Marines, I have had the written test and full medical  . And i was classed TMU (Temporarily Medically Unfit) to continue togo to PRMC due to a slight weight problem.

So i was wondering how to get down to the weight required (87-88Kg) from 105Kg with in 5 months from now. And any help to get my legs to physical endure more pain, etc.

Any Suggestion will be helpful Thanx.

As long as you stick to a healthy diet and plenty of exercise, you can't go far wrong.

Follow the PRMC Fitness Schedule and include 3 CV exercises minimum.
Running approx a 3 mile route 3 times a week will be enough to get you started.

There's plenty of advice on training/execises within this section, try a search.

Diet and exercise, filter through the posts on here, nearly all the help you need is available. If you can afford to join a gym then do so, use their trainers for dietary advice and exercise instruction. Alternatively see the nurse at your doctors surgery, they have all the dietary advice you will need. If you are below 6'2" get used to being called you fat bastard.

Now you mention it, what is the min and max weight for some one who's 5'10" as I'm just under 5'11" (sounds better than 5'10" ). Come to think of it, is 5'10" tall enough? :-? James.

Of course 5'10" is big enough. Stop saying its not, you're depressing me, since i'm only 5'5"
And as far as i'm concerned, you're all fat b*stards, i'm only 68Kg 8)
so, does anyone have any tips about how to grow an extra foot??? (height wise, not the walking implements :x  )

I posted ages ago about the troop officer recently based at CTC who was only 5'5" or thereabouts. He managed perfectly. But a full bergen can take 4" off your altitude! 8)
