Sorry if this is somewhere else on the site.

But could someone list what is required to join the RM or RMR.

I know you need to be fit and get a bleep of around 10 , good sound mind etc

What are the requirements as in weight, height, acdemicness (urgh)

If there already is a section about all this could someone please direct me there - :drinking:

level 10 on the bleep test??? goodluck if thats all you can do. i got 11.10 on the bleep test (and i've done bleep tests before reaching level 15, this one is harder), and i was told my cardio was poor. also the level you need on the bleep test is related to your mechanical comprehension part of your aptitude test. if you score well then you gotta get above 10 (but they really want it above 12, its just if its below 10 they'll fail you straight away), and if you got a crap score you gotta get above 11 (again, they want much higher)

personally, having passed it, i dont think it was so much about how fit you were (obviously there are basic requirements), but more about how hard you can push yourself.

they'll train you till your eyes are ready to bleed, till your delirous with fatigue, and you wanna just collapse and die. then they'll tell you that you gotta do it all again. at this stage they're looking for the men who dont argue, the men who smile/laugh about it, turn around and do it again, but even harder.

maybe that was just my perception of the prmc, but whats for definite is that if you meet the basic requirements written on the RM website, or on the leaflets, you WILL fail. passing the prmc is all in your head..."strength of mind".

i dont mean to try and put you off it. its good fun. I had a really good time, cos i love being pushed, there are some top lads down there, and it is really rewarding having completed the training sessions. you just gotta make sure your ready for it.

I totally agree with Red18's view of PRMC having completed it myself aswell. Its all about how hard you can push yourself. I loved it. :D
