Hi,
I'm Thinking of Choosing Swimmer/Canoeist as my Specialisation Trade and was wondering what the Trade Entails.
Is this Trade Evolving round Recon Work, and Beach Recon.
Any Light to this Subject would be Appreciated!
Thanks For your Time!

You can't become a swimmer cannoeist untill you have served 3 years in the marines so you better pick again.

If your serious - stop worrying about any SQ/TQ, you need to focus on becoming a Marine, first and foremost.

The Once a Marine site (excellent reference site too) has a description of the SC duties.

Getting in to be a RM is inordinatly difficult in itself, hence I would concentrate on one step at a time as it is...

The swimmer canoeist is the SBS and you must complete the uk special forces traing before you can get in. It is also true you must serve 3 years first.
You will have to be something pretty special to get in, there are something like 140-200 hundred members of the SBS. I have met some and they are Ninja soldiers.
Good Luck
