If anyone on this forum is considering attending the Soccer World Cup in 2010 in South Africa, my advice is, “DON'T,” I am deadly serious.
Crime is at an all time high with a published murder rate of 55 per day, while other studies show that its well over 100, rapes and attacks on tourists are again, at an all time high.
If however, you are determined to attend the world cup, contact me privately and I will give you advice on where to stay and where its safest to visit.

Not that I would be going, but I don't think those stats would bother most Brits. That sounds about the same crime rate as a weekend in Liverpool!

Manchester has a higher invasive and violent crime rate than both Liverpool and Washington DC.
Per Capita of course.

South Africa has the dubious reputation of the 2nd most dangerous country in the world, Columbia being number 1.
I very much doubt if Liverpool has a crime, murder, rape, hi-jack rate anywhere near South Africa.

Yep, really. Try walking through Cape Town, Jo-Burg, Durban or any of the cities at night you will be lucky to get out alive, literally.

Why is American Football so called?
Considering that most of the contact a player has with the ball is done with his hands?

Your wrong, every Country does take part in the Football World Cup. Its just that the vast majority get knocked out in the Qualifiers and dont make the World Cup Finals.
But saying that I do agree its a Girls game when played at the top level. More of a Rugby Union man myself

I saw that coming like a high and outside pitch
You are quite right it should not be called the"World Series"as only a handful of countries play the game.
Mind you, between the US,Canada,Japan,Korea,South America and over the last few years China more people watch/support baseball than any other sport worldwide.
According to Sports Illustrated.
There, that should piss just about everyone off

I thought Sports Illustrated was one of these rags full of half naked women? Or have I got it confused with the Daily Sport?
